A single buff - breasted Sandpiper was on the narrow area of sand south of the breakwall at Walnut Beach in Ashtabula.  It flushed when an eagle went over.  It ended up in the shallow marsh area where it remained.  Also both yellowlegs, killdeer and least sandpiper.  

Also both teal and shoveled in the marsh and a young broad-winged hawk that kept going after things on the edge of the marsh.  I saw him eating what looked like a minnow.

There were some songbirds also.  I saw an olive - sided flycatchers and 9 species of warblers.
