Success! This was the Meadow ridge section. This was just plain fun!
It helped that I met fellow birders there who said the flock was coming
To the south pond edge to drink. Ok! No wonder I wasn’t seeing in any
Of the White Pines! Kidding….. those winter finch flocks move around
A lot! I I figured I would return Sunday earlier. No need now! I must say,
I think this is the first time I have encountered Red Crossbills at water.
Not a pine tree…. Not a salted road - they would do that in Alquonquin.
Always interesting this wonderful past time of ours! 206 for the big year.
Can I do 210? Let’s see - common misses - harrier, Bonapartes Gull,
Brown Creeper, pine Siskin……
Good birding all! I had planned on the ASO trip to Brookville Indiana
Sunday, but will wait and see what the weather does.
