I am taking advantage of the snow covered fields. Had Longspurs, Horned
Larks, and Meadowlarks around Brown. Fite-hauck rd. being super! Again,
I had checked ebird to give me an idea of where the corn fields were. I
plugged in horned lark for brown. Thank you to the one observer who
was in that area this year!

Juncos, White throated and Song Sparrows, and starlings were in the hundreds
spread out along the roads i was driving. Wow! Hermit thrushes, tree sparrows,
a few Savannahs, towee, fox sparrow. Etc. etc. etc.

Started for home via Rt. 52 and the ohio river. Still learning areas where safe to pull off
and scan. The Bullskin creek was one! Andrew and I had nice waterfowl there.
Although they are moving around..... All three mergs, canvasback, pintail,
goldeneye, etc. Andrew had a redhead that i missed. We were in different areas
at times there. I will keep this spot in mind, but have a feeling the coming
thaw will have stuff not concentrating again.....

Half day birding each day over the weekend. VOA in Butler is hopping!
I could use longspur for Butler. And Short eared Owl for my big year!

Good birding all.
