I stopped by the Honda Wetlands, and would concur with several other posts.  It's very low this year, with only a little water left in the deep areas near the footbridge.  Fortunately, that's where the action was, with Kildeer & Spotted Sandpipers, Mallards, and a Virginia Rail and several dark rail chicks roaming around.  The view from the observation tower is useless for waterbirds, as that end of the marsh is totally dry.  The pool along the bikepath loop is also totally dry.  Unless we get a lot of rain over the next few weeks, this July won't be nearly as exciting as July 2011 was at this location.

I also stopped at three nearby Dublin Parks - Avery, Trabue Nature Preserve, and Darree Fields - and didn't find much other than the expected suburban nesters. All had territorial Pewees and Red-eyed Vireos, reflecting the widespread numbers of these forest birds this season.  Trabue also had Yellow Warblers and Common Yellowthroats in its small pond meadow, while Darree had a startling Parula Warbler singing in its small isolated woodlot.
