I have been hitting here hoping for species heading up and down the river.
Limited success so far. Shorebirds are slowing down also. I'll have to
hit here starting August next year. Water levels are very low in the river.
The quarry has a lot. I might be able to hit here Sunday. Maybe a hurricane
bird or 2? Seems like it would be a spot for storm birds heading back
down the river. Assuming we get any.
4 Pecs here feeding in the river - thats how low the water levels are!
Not much else. Killdeer are always there.
1 immature White crowned sparrow was nice. Finally a different sparrow!
It was on the edge of the quarry. Came out mainly to drink I believe.
I should have listed some of my birds from yesterday. My apologizes,
time was short! I have been reading others reports. Seems warblers
are around but hit or miss.
Orange crowned, Tennessee, Parula, blackpoll, BH and Red eyed Vireos.
And Winter Wrens back in force! This was Ault Park.
Good birding all.
