A flock of about 20 horned larks had some visitors: Lapland Longspurs and a lone Snow Bunting.
Two northern harriers are commonly seen working the fields. A short-eared owl was seen this morning and has been a frequent visitor.
Walk along the paths behind the lodge to see white crowned sparrows, white-throated sparrows, and song sparrows taking shelter in the shrubs.
I have seen 3 coyote trotting across the fields as well, two weeks ago. It is said that 5 live in the park.
Happy birding!
