i didn't make Adams and Brown counties - yet again! Maybe next week!
Ellis Lake Wetlands had 2 Dunlin - foy- and Pecs. And lesser yellowlegs.
Also Yellow Warbler and Sora - foys. Most shorebirds were close to the path and parking lot there. Good for those without scopes. Am slowly seeing more and
more breeders in. Hopefully a big push this coming week.
Stayed north and west as I was waiting on word of the piping plover
in Allen county. A yes for today, so Andrew and I chased! Success! Ohio bird
for us both. I was driving down the road at Bresler - the plover spot -
wondering where to start searching. And theres some cars parked
along the roadside and people with scopes on the dike. That was easy!
I like easy! Nice meeting everyone!
I was tempted to try for Smith's longspur on the way home, but getting
late. That's going to have to wait til next year.
Good birding all.
