Finally got WW Crossbills today around 3:00; they were working a Sweetgum
tree in Sec. 112 with Pine Siskins. They stayed for a while -- other birders
were enjoying them too. I went back after doing a cemetery tour and they
were still there at around 3:45. They left while I was watching them --
probably 15-20 in the flock. And the Merlin was perched high in a Sycamore
south of the bridge near the veteran's section in that area.
