Blendon Woods is mowing the goldenrod, just when the sparrows are peaking and residual warblers are using it as a foraging area. Please write the park ( https://www.metroparks.net/about-us/contact-us/ ) and tell them goldenrod is important to birds this time of year and mowing should wait until mid-November. If they only cut 20-30% each year, the rotation would be every 4-5 years, enough to prevent natural progression.
