This morning, in lots of snow, several birds on the ground near my own
bird feeder.  When I went out all flew away but one, which was covered
with some snow.   I picked it up, still alive.  Put it in a warmer
place, in a cage.  It is a Common Grackle, immature I think.  So hope it
survives.
