The Northern Wheatear first appeared this evening at about 6:27 pm and
continued until about 6:50 pm, when last observed catching and eating
something on the ground. Special thanks to two boys from Chardon who
happened to meet up with me on the beach out toward the lighthouse. The
wheatear was seen in the vicinity of the last two signs along the grass and
dunes near the end of the beach near where the jetty starts. The two boys,
one 17 and the other 11, are of Indian decent (India, in the far east).
The youngest found it first, but it disappeared, and then was found behind
us sitting on a log by the oldest, Gupta (hope spelling is right). Their
sharp eyes helped find the bird in the rapidly fading light and increasing
rain. Their mom also got to see the bird well.

Congratulations to the boys and their mom for getting to see a really
awesome bird and thanks again for your help.
Jay
