I made a brief hike around the developing Whittier park this morning, and afterwards also visited nearby Berliner Park below the Greenlawn dam & bridge. Despite the beautiful weather, there wasn't much activity for waterbirds or landbirds. The only interesting waterbirds were 6 Great Blue Herons, 4 Hooded Mergansers, and 14 Cormorants above the dam. Very few migrants were left along the bikepath in both parks. Whittier had several flocks of White-throated Sparrows and a single Towhee, while Berliner had a few Brown Creepers and a stray Pine Siskin, the only notable bird of the morning.
