Visited the gravel pit pond off OH 43/183 near Waynesburg (Stark) from 12:30 to 1:30 PM today.  Specifically looking for the Iceland Gulls reported there most recently by Laura Dornan and previously by others.

There were about 25-30 gulls present with little coming and going.  No "white-winged" or "dark-backed" gulls present.

About 100 Canada Geese were there when we arrived and probably 350+ when we left with a steady stream of arrivals.  No other goose species detected.

Highlight was one adult Bald Eagle on the ice when we arrived, which flew west and landed in the trees at the west end of the pond where it remained until we left.

Good birding,
Carlton Schooley (Strasburg, Tuscarawas County)
