Before we get too excited here, we should see where they are planning this.
The impression I got talking with people there a few years ago, they were
going to do some development on the beach in front of the upper parking area
at the park.  This would be just west of the sandspit area.  They talked of
a boardwalk in this area.  This would make a lot more sense to me than
putting on an easily flooded sandspit.

I don't think any of the planners understand blowing sand.  When I worked as
a ranger at Crane Creek State Park I remember rescuing a boater that had
washed up on the beach during very high winds.  When I got done that night I
remember unbuttoning my shirt pockets and getting about a teaspoon of sand
out of each pocket.  Not to mention all that went down my back.  Not a wise
place for anyone to live.  Then again, with all the craziness I have seen at
Conneaut through the years I can see them putting it on the sandspit also.
