I was deciding what to do this raw, not quite back to winter afternoon. Only had
a few hours. I thought the cold temps and drizzle would keep people
away from California Woods - and it worked! Took awhile - it is the afternoon -
but I had at least 2 there. And a great Trillium show! And the lack of sun
kept the lesser celedine blooms mostly closed. That plant is everywhere.....
I was at California Woods a week ago was it? And so many people, along
the stream edges, etc. I didn't stand a chance for waterthrush....
Had foy Barn Swallow at Armleder yesterday.
Monday - probably will try for Smiths again in Madison county was it?
If none - then I try Mercer county friday maybe. Thats a longer drive.
Still missing RB Nuthatch and Purple Finch!
Good birding all.
