Greetings - the incredibly cooperative American Bittern reported yesterday from Rocky River Reservation, along the parkway and hike and bike trail, is still present as of 8 am today (Wed the 4th). Many, many folks have been able to enjoy this stunning individual as it forages for frogs and fish in the open wetland. Heard word yesterday that one gentlemen has been seeking this species for 25 years as a nemesis bird, and finally and triumphantly enjoyed prolonged point-blank views.
