My Spring officially kicked off at 10:02 AM this morning when I found the
first Prothonotary Warbler of the year at the Hoover Nature Preserve in
Delaware County. The first small wave arrived last night as I located 9 males
by noon. Maybe its their absence since last fall but they seemed to be in
incredible color this morning. Several were hanging around the old road bed
off Front Street in Galena and the rest were scattered in Areas L, M and N.
