I had to be on the west side of Columbus again today so I went back to Darby Lakes to try for the Cave Swallows again.
Although not absolutely definitive, I had good looks in flight of at least one swallow that I felt was a Cave. It stood out as noticeably different as it flew over 2 definite Cliff Swallows that had landed on a sandy shoreline by lake #1. Pale throat with dark cap, no white on forehead.
I had all the other swallows including at least one Bank. Trees were the most numerous but a few Rough-wingeds and Barn.
Also FOS Warbling Vireos, singing. Only warblers were Yellow, N Parula and Black-throated Green (on sycamore trail).
