Spent a couple of hours birding in Pickaway County (Pickaway Airport,
Charlie's Pond, Calamus Marsh) without seeing anything of more than
passing interest.
But on the drive north on Rt 104, just north of where 104 crosses
Darby Creek, a red-headed woodpecker flew across the road and onto a
utility pole. This is only the second time I have found one in
Pickaway County. They seem to be slowly spreading southward.
