I hit these adjoining areas in Westerville (NE of Columbus) on successive afternoons, and was still able to find some interesting birds despite the unseasonable heat.  It definitely helped to stay around the shade, as that's where most of the interesting birds were found.  At Hoover, I visited the Nature Trail and the area below the dam; I walked the forest trails at Inniswood.  Notables included:

Red-headed Woodpeckers - a likely family group (3 adults, 1 Juvie) were enjoying acorns at Inniswood
Red-br.Nuthatch - 1 was around the conifers at Inniswood
Flycatchers - a few WoodPewees were still along the Hoover Nature Trail; 2 Phoebes were below the dam
Vireos - a Blue-headed was on the Nature Trail, while Red-eyed were there and at Inniswood
Thrushes - single Swainson's were below the dam and at Inniswood
Mimids - Catbirds were at all 3 spots, while a Thrasher was in the overgrown prairie along the Nature Trail
Warblers - scarce, but diversity OK.  List included Nashville, Magnolia, Cape May, Black-thr.Greens, Blackpolls, Black&White, Redstarts, Hooded (1 at Inniswood)
