And it was active! I hit the feeders around the Visitors Center and down the
path a bit. No Siskins today. That's unusual for here. I'll never figure out
why these winter finches move so much. Yes, I know they are looking for
ever changing food supplies. But why leave a perfectly good feeder area??
The Cardinals were about twice in number that I usually see there. And
what a scene! most were males - all that red around was nice to see!
Brown Creeper and Golden crowned were nice. Etc.
I stopped at the field near Lake Barber - Hamilton - where Canada Geese stage before
roosting. Just Canada Geese. Another spot that I hope to see a rarer goose
for my big year. Best around dusk. Although I have not scanned here at dawn.
