Towards the end of the day, yesterday, after enjoying the warmer temps and sunshine, I came across what appeared to be a Dark Morph or a Rough-legged Hawk along Kuhlwein Rd.
I was struck by how dark the bird was and noticeably larger than a Red Tail. Further down the same stretch of road was a group of ten or eleven pheasants, apparently all females.
A couple of pics of said hawk may be seen on my web page.
