Stopped by the boathouse just past 11. Besides the geese, gulls & mallards, at least 8 common loons on the Kent Rd end, and 4 or 5 flocks of red-breasted mergansers -- most i can remember seeing in one small area. One flock of 10 swam up within 20-30 feet of the bench i was at. Also one swallow, taking a drink - couldn't see the tail to ID. Ken Thompson
