Well, the first stage of the revamping of the pond is done, and there is
water in the main pond once again !  And water means ducks !

Canada geese - many, many
Mallards - many, many
Black ducks - 15
Gadwalls - 3
Northern pintails - 9
Green-winged teal - 2
Ring-billed gulls - 12
Great blue herons - 15
Pileated, red-bellied, downy, flicker woodpeckers
Yellow-rumped warbler
Robins - hundreds and hundreds
European starlings - huge flock
White-breasted nuthatch
Carolina chickadee
Dark-eyed juncos - 30+
Tree sparrows - 30+
Northern cardinals
White-throated sparrow
Bluejay
Brown thrasher

And, saving the best for last--a barred owl sitting on a branch over the
road as you enter the park !
