In between the snow & graupel showers yesterday, I saw a new yard bird—a Brown Thrasher. It went to the platform feeder for sunflower seeds but was more interested in the suet.

In the afternoon, a Red-shouldered Hawk was sitting on my lawn perhaps with some prey but the crows & Blue Jays soon sent it on its way.

A brief walk later in the afternoon at Denison was v quiet-just one Golden-crowned Kinglet flashing its golden crown; Field, Song & White-thr Sparrows. Towhees. Resident Red-tailed.

Today at Lobdel NP, I had another Brown Thrasher and a few N Mockingbirds. Field & Song Sparrows, towhees A Canada Goose was alr on a nest.
