Mary C. and I tried for the Neotropic again at East Fork - Clermont.
Ohio bird for Mary. No success. Possible still around. That place is
huge! We did try a few access areas on that east side. Just DC Corms.
I had wanted a shot for M. Kite for my big year. I saw the one posted
in ebird in Clermont. I really thought it was just wandering, and we
had little chance. I like it when I am wrong! Basically as soon as we got
there, we see! Wow! Thats one I didn't expect for the big year. 207.
Typical Kite area - suburbia with lots of trees.
Next up - Ellis Wetlands - Butler for shorebirds. Nothing new for me,
but that parking lot field area was loaded with birds. Three Semipalm
Sandpipers were nice. Most of the peeps were Least. I hope to hit here
again Sat. And Lost Bridge - Hamilton.
Quiet passerine wise.
Good birding all.
