       Blendon Woods Metro Park is located in the northeast corner of
Columbus off of I 270 & Rte 161. Take the Little Turtle Way exit. Below is
a list of some of the Birds seen at Blendon Woods Metro Park lately

                Thoreau Lake
                      Ring-necked Duck
                      Canvasback
                      Wood Duck
                      Green-winged Teal
                      American Wigeon
                      Redhead
                      Greater Scaup
                      Lesser Scaup
                      Common Merganser
                      American Coot
                      Gadwall
                      Red-shouldered Hawk
                      Red-tailed Hawk
                      Cooper's Hawk
                      Common Pintail


              Lake Trail
                      Red-headed Woodpecker-young developing Adult plumage
                      Pileated Woodpecker-pair being very active in this
area
                      Yellow-rumped Warbler

             Blendon Woods Nature Center Bird Viewing Area
                     Sparrows
                          White-throated
                          American Tree
                          Dark-eyed Junco
                    Cooper's Hawk
                    Hairy woodpecker-pair
                    Carolina Wren
                    E Towhees-male & females
                    Pine Siskin-2

           Great Blue Heron-flyover

           Barred Owl-Trails
                              Hickory Ridge
                              Ripple Rock
                              Sugarbush

           Turkeys-Everywhere & at Bird Feeders-Males are Displaying
