This afternoon I checked Evans L. and Pine L. again.  On the way, I heard a n. mockingbird singing up a storm at Poland Twp. Park.  An osprey was on a nest on a transmission tower just east of Evans L. in Springfield Twp.  At Evans L. I found wood ducks, lesser scaup, buffleheads, hooded mergansers, pied-billed grebes, double-crested cormorants, Cooper's hawk, Am. coots, e. bluebird, and chipping sparrow.  Pine L. had greater scaup, lesser scaup, buffleheads, red-breasted mergansers, ruddy ducks, 165 double-crested cormorants, Am. coots, and tree swallows.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
