Ellis Wetlands looks perfect for shorebirds right now. Only hardly anything there!
I have not a clue why…. I am actually still missing Pec for my Butler big year. Crazy!
I did pick up Solitary for the big year. I have had pec everywhere else. What is
Going on??
Started at Fernald - too late in the morning for the Henslows. I haven’t decided
Whether to try again early Wed. Or stick with Butler. I am sure the Henslows
Will be gone soon. Taped out…… At least there’s areas there that are off limits
To the public. The Henslows will probably head there.
Picked up Yellow warbler. And prothonotary - Gilmore. And Warbling and White
Eyed Vireos. Up to 118. But missing species I thought I would have. Like pec!
L. Waterthrush, brown creeper, Bonies, cranes. Sigh. Well, a big year means I
Do have the fall for some species.
Loads of BW Teal at Ellis. 30 to 40. I should have done an ebird list. But I do
Get tired of always making lists! I was just on the Firebird Dr. side scouting out
How the place looks for shorebirds. The shorebirds need to find it now too!
Good birding all.
