I observed a Red-Shouldered Hawk building a nest in a pin oak crotch on Saturday. Today two adult hawks mated on a branch above the nest, which is located at 200 Allynd Blvd, in the front yard, near to the neighboring property line, 206 Allynd. The male vocalized repeatedly before the mating occurred.
Also, there were 40 or so Ring-Neck ducks, along with a few Buffleheads, in Corning Lake at the Holden Arboretum today.

Marilyn Rohr, Chardon
