Saturday afternoon I found a pair of Vesper Sparrows along with a single
Savannah Sparrow at the turn-around on Bolanz Rd in Peninsula, near the
intersection with Akron-Peninsula Rd. They were very close, but I still
couldn’t spot them with the naked eye. I ended up using my spotting scope
to see them clearly. They continued to be seen by others into the evening.
Jon Cefus also reported a Vesper Sparrow on Mark Rd. in Carroll Co.
Saturday afternoon.
