Birders,

The 2013 year started well with a variety of feeder birds. While doing some chores in the AM, a flock of 42 Tundra Swans flew over the house in Middleburg Hts. (SW of Cleveland) around 9:30 AM. After chores, I drove to West Park Cemetery where Red Crossbill (a lifer for me) and Common Redpoll were seen in the Sweetgums. Nice. Once home again and watching feeders (gosh I have a lot of American Tree Sparrows - counted 43 today)a Cooper's Hawk straifed the yard. Didn't see it catch a meal however.
