My bird buddy Bonnie Fish had 5 common loons on the lake at Walter C.
Best Wildlife Preserve just south of Chardon on St. Rt. 44 this past
Thursday, April 21.
As of this evening, there are still 3: two adults and 1 immature.
Also there this evening: a horned grebe, pied-billed grebe, 2 spotted
sandpipers and an osprey making several close passes over the lake,
pausing to hover.
