Late report for Monday. 30-35 Spotted sandpipers remained at Headlands ( they were mesmerizing ). Also had 2 beautiful colored Philadelphia Vireos ( my first this spring ). Actually, all the action was at the Zimmerman Trail across the road by Shipman's Pond. 22 species of warblers with one additional species picked up at Mentor Lagoons. ( total 23 species ). I only had 21 species. Magnolias were the most numerous, with Redstarts next and then Tennessee. Tennessee's were the most vocal esp. in the AM. Connecticut was not seen nor heard! Mourning and Black-billed Cuckoo reported by R.H. 4 species of vireos reported.
