Hit some local spots this afternoon - and that includes Oxbow in IN. The roads
were bad there for a tiny car. So I didn't explore much. Lost Bridge in Hamilton County
had high water levels. Not much there.
Elllis Lake Wetlands in Butler was super! For the end of March.
And a final round of winter.... Alas, the wind, cold, and overcast skies
were not conducive to me scanning too long. Or walking. That flooded
field looks excellent for shorebirds. I hope it stays that way.
27 Pectorals was a nice sight. Killdeer there also. Quite possibly other
shorebirds around - like I said, I didn't walk it.
Also - 14 BW Teal, 3 GW Teal, 2 Shovelers, etc.
I am thinking this will be a main shorebird spring spot for my SW Ohio big
year.
Good birding all.
