While driving between Plain City and Mechanicsburg, OH this morning (900am) I
encountered a flock of shorebirds in field of corn stubble.  I almost forgot how
exciting it is to watch shorebirds fly in formation.  It was a flock of about 85
Pectoral Sandpipers.  The wind was miserable and it felt like Jan.but with a bit
of patience I got good looks with binos and scope.  They were on Findley-Guy Rd.
just west of Rt. 38.

Keep looking,
Tom Beachy
