Here are a few birds seen recently in Ohio

Birds seen at Zaleski SF on March 23 included :
6 E Phoebes (a similar number present on the 13th also)
7 Pine Warblers (some have been present on territory since at least March 13)
3 Purple Finches

On the evening of March 23 at Hoover the breeding plumaged Eared Grebe was near the dam wall close to the R-t Loon for a short wall then couldn't be relocated.




today, March 25 :

Shawnee SF :
several Ruffed Grouse (not drumming yet)
20+ E Phoebes (all silent in the cold)
1 Louisiana Waterthrush 

flood plain along Rt. 104 in northern Scioto County :
12 Greater Yellowlegs
2 Lesser Yellowlegs

Charlie's Pond area (heavily flooded) in Pickaway County :
ducks in quadruple digits
~200 Bonaparte's Gulls
1 Tree Swallow
several Am. Pipits and Savannah Sparrows

Watermark Quarry in Columbus :
2 White-winged Scoters among the huge number of other expected water birds (ducks, grebes, loons, gulls)
