So far, a forecast for a cold front associated with NW winds is holding for this coming Wed, Thurs, and Friday before switching back to SW. Folks interested in lake watching opportunities for waterfowl, gulls and jaegers should watch this little system closely and get out if you can. Waterfowl have been severely backed-up by the relentless SW winds this fall, and many species are "late." We had ONE Red-breasted Merganser off Edgewater earlier this week. By now we should be seeing several to a few dozen, at least. This coming front could be worthy of some fair to good movements along the lake.
