Thanks to all who straightened me out as to ID's from yesterday's post, tufted
titmouse instead of gnatcatcher and goldfinch instead of orchard oriole.

Today I hiked the old Dike 14 and saw somewhere between 4 and 7 common loons,
mostly out from the point by the lake though 2 were in the harbor when I first
arrived, near the hanging tire.  Didn't see any warblers but lots of flickers,
rw blackbirds, robins, several downies and 6 or 7 various raptors directly
overhead, high up.
