Beautiful spring-like afternoon at Clear Creek. V quiet bird-wise but I had a small group, maybe 3, of Red-breasted Nuthatches on the Prairie Warbler trail feeding high in some pine trees.
Heard a Pileated WP from the Hemlock Trail which also had spectacular icicles hanging off the sandstone cliffs. Actually, all thru the park, the icicles were quite photogenic. A few crows and jays.
As I was l leaving, an adult Red-tailed flew across the road with dinner in its talons. Only other raptors were a couple Kestrels on 37 on the drive & a perched adult Red-shouldered on 33 not far from the park.
Logan Lk pretty much iced over but melting fast. Just some Canada Geese on the B&B grounds and a N Mockingbird.
