Added a few over the weekend for my Larry County 2022 List. Mainly birded my yard, and the ridge that circles my property; roughly a 3.5 mile loop.

Highlights included:
Yellow-throated Vireo- 2
White-eyed Vireo- 3
Prairie Warbler- 15, and probably more than that. For every couple that I saw, I would hear more in the distance.
Blue-winged Warbler
Northern Parula
Yellow Warbler

And this afternoon, I saw a single bird flitting around in a distant tree. Ran to get bins, and lost sight of it for about 20 min. I was able to relocate it, and to my delight, it was an Orange-crowned Warbler! Second time having one in my yard, and my second one of 2022.

Looking forward to the next few weeks. I’ve got a 2 week vacation starting May 7th. Can’t wait to get out to some hotspots I haven’t been to in a few months!

Good birding,
Bryan Smith
