Just a quick hitter for those planning on visiting the marsh region soon.
This morning we had a Northern Shrike along the Magee causeway between the
first and second pull offs.

It was moving between the road edge and shrubs on the east side up to 100
yards into the marsh.

Lots of gulls are roaming the shoreline and diving duck activity seems to be
increasing on the lake.

Pine Siskin, Snow Bunting and Lapland Longspurs are being observed passing
along the coast areas such as Metzger Marsh and Magee.

There are still large numbers of sparrows, especially White-throats and Fox
at the BSBO Window on Wildlife.

The big blow yesterday and the approach of the remnants of the mega-storm in
Alaska forecast for here early next week could make for interesting lake
watching.

Hope you can get out to a favorite spot to see what the migration holds this
weekend.

I know I'm looking forward to what BSBO's pelagic trip has in store
Saturday.
