A walk around the land lab yielded a couple FOY birds: E Meadowlark and I also heard a pheasant call twice from an adjoining field. I believe pheasant is a new bird for me at the Land Lab.

I often have Bobolinks here this time of year but I didn’t hear or see any today.

Not much else. It was cool to see a hen Wood Duck first sitting on top of one the nest boxes, then perched half in/half out of the hole with a drake staying close.

Other birds:
N Mockingbird
Swamp Sparrow
Song Sparrow
Grackles
RW Blackbirds
E Bluebird
Mallard
Black Vultures—3 with a couple TVs roosting then taking flight
