I only had a couple hours this late afternoon - including driving time. Rough legged
Hawk needs to be had for the big year. Well, still time! It didn't cooperate in the
45 minutes or so I had there. I thought I was probably too late as I was driving
there..... Got Canvasback - six at Lodge Pond. Redheads moved to another
pond. I wanted to scan for the Rough legged, so didn't check other ponds.
I really wanted that January Spotted Sandpiper! But that spot is sooooo far away.
I might give it a try friday. all day free. That Lesser black backed gull I figured
wouldn't be there. I need to try for that some early morning!
Good birding all.
