Many folks were at Wendy Park this evening (6 pm and beyond) and worked the small woodlot hard for the Connecticuts. Six different Mourning Warblers were seen, plus Wilson's, Black-throated Blue, redstarts, Magnolia, Black-and-white, Ovenbird, as well as Swainson's and Wood Thrush and multiple Yellow-bellied Flycatchers and several Lincoln's Sparrows. I had a short but open view of a Connecticut around 7:45 pm. We could not refind the bird afterward. With southwest winds tonight migrants will likely bail out, but some may stay or turnover is likely as well.
