The silliest, tamest Whimbrel that I've encountered remained at Lorain this afternoon, emphatically foraging throughout the area - walking right up to the dike, zooming past mere feet from my head, and twice landing out in the parking lot.  Three avocets were also present, a single White-rumped Sandpiper, and a juv. Stilt Sandpiper.  A Lesser Black-backed Gull was west of the river, and the beach at Lakeview Park hosted four Great Black-backed Gulls and 25 Bonaparte's.

Good birding -
Gabe Leidy
