I just received a call from Bill Kinead. He is at Conneaut and currently watching a Purple Sandpiper. The bird is located by the break wall BEFORE you make the sharp right turn to head out to the spit. It is walking around in muck - the breakwall behind it and the 'beach' to the right. Good luck to anyone trying to see this bird. They have been real hard to find this year.
