Tim Colborn and I spent a long cold day out and about.  Highlights:
 
Norwalk reservoir - The 7 Greater White-fronted Geese remain (thank you, Alicia Elmer) in the open water near the plant intake.  Also a Horned Grebe and five Tundra Swans were amid the 1000 or so Canada Geese.
 
Sheldon's - most of the expected woodland birds plus 19 Brown-headed Cowbirds.
 
Castalia - Unusually small number of geese, but a nice selection of ducks.  Many Northern Shoveler, Redhead, and Canvasback; a few Ring-necked Duck, Lesser Scaup, and American Wigeon.
 
Killdeer Plains WA - 100's of American Tree Sparrows, five Red-tailed Hawks, one American Kestrel, one "gray ghost" Northern Harrier, a Barred Owl in the traditional pine grove and no owls in the "new" grove, two Short-eared Owls near the Sportsman's Center at dusk.  
 
One intermediate morph Rough-legged Hawk along T 247 just north of KP; it was sitting by a rabbit carcase with a Red-Tailed Hawk about a foot away.  We've never seen two different (non-vulture) raptors that close together.
