Hello!
Late this morning I had a Ruby-throated Hummingbird visit our feeders for a moment. I getting on the mower, so I didn’t have my bins, but I was close enough to see it was a RT, and it appeared to be a female. I’ve not seen it again this afternoon. With no serious wind to contend with it may have just been passing through. A good reason to keep the feeder up until December. I’m not sure how late this ranks for E Central Ohio.
There has also been a LOT of Turkey Vultures soaring today. Normally I can pick out 1 or 2 BLVUs, but not today. I’ve also heard quite a few Golden Crowned Kinglets passing by.
Happy birding!
