Hello Ohio Birders,

On private property near the intersection of Middlefork and Buena Vista Rds., Hocking County this morning, in addition to the resident birds, I observed: Wood Thrush, Brown Thrasher, Yellow-throated Warbler, Louisiana Water-thrush, Ovenbird and Hooded Warbler.

At Lake Logan: Tree, Rough-winged and Cliff Swallows along with a Great Egret. (I haven't seen many egrets in the Hocking Valley -- they seem more likely to migrate up the Scioto.)

Yellow-crowned Night Herons have returned to their traditional nesting spot in Bexley (Franklin Co.). I have their former haunts along Overbrook Drive (Columbus) under daily surveillance but so far no luck.

Happy birding,

Dave Horn
